My husband just arrived back from a business trip down south. This is the longest we've been away from each other since we got married. I didn't like it! It's funny how your everyday is only normal when your other half is sharing it with you. Needless to say, I'm beyond glad that he is home. He decided he would work from home today and as we had a meeting this afternoon, we decided to go for a coffee date to Chapters and Starbucks. I LOVE little dates like this. We grabbed two Caramel Macchiatos and a quiet corner table and chatted about his trip and my time while he was away and got all caught up on each other's lives. Being separated for 5 days doesn't seem like a lot, but when you're each other's all, it is! Then he did some work and I grabbed the book I've been reading since Tuesday. It's a very good read so far and I'm enjoying the book immensely. Eat Pray Love (One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia) is the book and so far, it's keeping my attention very well. The author, Elizabeth Gilbert puts pen to paper beautifully and winds her story in a most unique way. I'm not going to say anything about the book until I have completed it. The book makes me laugh right out loud sometimes, and so if it can give my mental state this kind of joy, then I'm sure I'll have good things to say upon its completion. My favorite line, so far, from this book is: "...a friend of mine who is vegetarian except for bacon..." Awesome...
Here are some pics from my lovely coffee date with my hubby in one of my favorite stores...Indigo.
