Earl Grey Tea Cakes...

Yep...and sweet mother of all that is good and pure in this world are they good!!! The following may or may not cause profuse and spontaneous salivating...unless of course it's just me that can't control her saliva at the sight of an oh so tasty treat such as this.  Chocolate Tea Cakes with Earl Grey icing...Earl Grey.  If you're a lover of all things Earl Grey, like myself, you will definitely want to throw a batch of these together.  They are fairly easy and ridiculous kinds of yum.  How did I come to salivate over such goodness?  Well, I happened to be surfing the www for a light summery dinner when I landed on an absolutely brilliant recipe blog by a genius in Ontario.  I say genius because...freaking Earl Grey icing, people!!!  The Earl Grey icing alone garners her genius status, but the rest of her recipes are proving pretty spectacular as well.  I've actually made a few of her recipes already and am, most admittedly, a blog stalker an avid follower now.  The blog is Food& Whine (she's a Canadian foodie!!!) and you can find the tea cake and frosting recipe here.  All of her recipes are fantastic but this is the one I'm mad about right now and so it gets blogged on.  Read on!!!

5: Melting the chocolate and butter

6: The outcome of the melting carnage

7: Spooning the goodness

8: Into the oven little tea cakes

9: Now for the icing

10: Not looking so good at this point, more like melty dirty goop

11: That's more like it!!! Peaks and puffiness!!!
