VTYA. Very Talented Young Artist this Elliot Maginot. I just happened to happen upon him and his music here on MySpace (listen to the crawler for certain) while searching out new music by Will Oldham (another lovely musician who sets a distinctively cool mood when he wishes it and he seemingly wishes it on a constant basis). I have to say, if all this young artist has done is set himself down in front of Apple's Garageband with a mic and a guitar in hand as a few of his comments have suggested, he has done it exceedingly well indeed. Heartstrings pulled. Picture yourself on a sensational fall's eve with a cup of tea (or bourbon) in hand, leaves blissfully flying off of their trees on a light breeze outside your window and the Monsieur Elliot Maginot playing on your stereo. Fantastically fantastic, in this girl's opinion and I will be happily awaiting any release of more songs and albums by this amazing talent (for all I know it could be a he, a she, a they...whomever - it really is scads of good listening) Bravo indeed!
